We all enjoyed celebrating Emily's first Easter. She received lots of little gifts from some of her family members. Grandpa and Grandma A. gave her a Spring Hat, a fuzzy bunny rabbit and some pink sunglasses. Grandpa and Grandma H. gave her 101 Dalmations DVD for later. Her Great Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Don gave her a singing yellow chick. I am positive Emily will know The Chicken Dance by next Easter. Her Uncle Brian and Aunt Shannon gave her a pink bunny blanket that plays music. Her cousin Melanie saved up and used her own money to buy Emily a very special My First Easter stuffed animal. From us, Emily received a book to add to her collection. Nate and I really enjoy reading to Emily and she loves to look at all the pictures. She is even starting to demand that she holds the book now. Thanks to everyone who made Emily's first Easter special.
Nate and I will use this blog to share information about our family. We welcomed Emily Claire into our family on September 4, 2007 and Blake Henry on February 25, 2010 and we couldn't be happier!

Emily's 6 (and a half) month well baby check
Emily went to the doctor for her 6 (and a half) well baby check. How lucky we are to have such a happy, healthy baby. She weighed in at 15 lbs 7 1/2 ounces. She measured 24 1/2 inches long. She tolerated the shots as well as can be expected. She just wanted extra snuggles for the rest of the night. We will get a little break as at her 9 month well check there are no shots!

Thanks Aunt Bea!

Emily is 6 Months Old!
Emily is halfway to her 1st birthday and is becoming very curious. She is constantly amazing us with something new. Unfortunately, she has a little cold and hasn't been herself for a few days. She just seems to want to cuddle a little more. We go to the doctor in a few days for her 6 month well check so we will report back her stats. Here are a few pictures to let you see how much Emily has been growing and changing. She's our little lovebug.

Spring Break!
Good Night, Sleep Tight
Emily has really settled into a great night time routine. She loves her bath. She splashes around and plays with all of her toys. Her favorite "toy" is the washcloth that I can't keep out of her mouth. After her bath we read some books. Her favorite book is Good Night Moon. It is really fun to watch her eyes move across the page. After the stories, we give snuggles and she is ready to go to bed. She doesn't fool around either. After 3-5 minutes she is fast asleep. She is still getting up 2 times a night. I don't mind though, soon she will be so big and running around the house. I enjoy the quiet time I get to spend with her... even if it is in the middle of the night.
