Mexico 2008!

Nate, Emily and I went to Mexico with my parents and my brothers for Christmas. It was a blast. Emily is now an international traveler and she impressed me every step of the way. She was an angel on the plane. She slept on the longer flights and looked at books on the shorter ones. The plane ride didn't seem to bother her ears at all. In Mexico she became a little fish. She loved the water. It didn't matter if it was the pool or the ocean. She was not scared by the waves at all. There were horses on the beach everyday so she really enjoyed watching them. She also was kept entertained by the pelicans. We cut her nap from two to one while we were there which worked well. She was able to play all morning and explore. Then she would take a really good afternoon nap and be ready for the nightlife. Unfortunately she is getting 6 new teeth all at once. A few of them molars. We only had one night where she seemed to be in discomfort. She was a little trooper. Santa managed to find Emily all the way in Mexico and left her a puppy. She is obsessed with puppies right now so the present seemed fitting. Nate and I were pleasantly surprised with her travel abilities. We hope to do more and more with her every year. This proved to be a Christmas we will remember forever!

Nate, Emily and I traveled to Grandma and Grandpa's on Saturday for a belated Christmas. Since we were in Mexico over Christmas, we were able to get together with Nate's whole family yesterday. It was a really great day. As you can see from the pictures below Emily had a great time and is really blessed to have so many wonderful people love her. She loved opening presents! So much that she opened every other present in the room. Emily was a big helper. She received a tea set, a set of play food to accompany her new play house. She also received some great new outfits (which I was very excited for). She got a set of large legos, a book and her first purse, she also received a learning teddy bear. I think she is set for a really long time.
