3 Week Update

Sorry it has been so long since the last update. Nate went back to work after week 1. It was really nice to have him home to help out. To be honest, I don't think he was really ready to go back to the office quite yet, but you do what you've got to do, I guess. My mom helped me out for a few days after Nate went back to work, and she was a really big help too. It seems like Emily has grown like a weed these last 3 weeks. At her 2 week check-up she was measured and weighed and she had grown 1/2 an inch in length and gained 10.5 ounces. She's almost 9 pounds now! She's been sleeping at night pretty well...Usually 1 stretch of 4-5 hours and then I feed her and change her diaper and she'll usually go right back to sleep for a few more hours. The last couple of nights have been a little rough though. Hopefully she's hitting one of those 'growth spurts' they talk about as she acts really hungry all of the time. Nate's grandma is in the hospital again (she's almost 91) and she's really weak and the family is not sure how long she will live so we went down to Centerville on Friday night to visit her and show Emily to her. I think she was really glad she got to see Emily in person. Well, I'll post some new pics as well and hopefully, I can update the blog before another 3 weeks from now.
